Yes, you're dumb. Cheating is the end-all to a relationship. It is possible to forgive (and important to do so) but that doesn't mean there is any reason at all to take someone back who is a cheater.

Depends on the situation. I'd say find out why your ex cheated the first time and why would this time be any different for your ex. Then I'd make sure to tell your ex that it's gain back my trust time. Your ex is going to have to realize you may be slow to trust this time around.
